A new tree has been added to the website after a fellow GoONS member came across a Gammon obituary in the Tiverton Gazette. I was able to build a small tree around it, but I need a copy of a marriage certificate to take the tree further back in time.

Marriage between GAMMON & IMESON - PETER Tree

Thanks to a GoONS Marriage Challenge, I can confirm the marriage of Edward GAMMON and Selina IMESON at St Matthew's, Hastings, England on the 25th December 1883. I can also confirm that his father was George GAMMON, a gardener. As this is a minor detail (exact date and place), I have not updated the website, only the Family Tree database behind it.

After a GoONS newspaper watcher found a funeral notice in the Maidenhead Advertiser and sent me a copy, I quickly pulled togther this family. I really need a copy of a marriage certificate for Thomas C GAMMON and Cissie E RICHENS to take the tree back further.

I have now added another family from Wales. James and William Gammon appear to have been twins, and both married in Llansamlet in Wales towards the end of 1865. I could not find them in the 1871 census, so I have not tracked the family forward.

As a result of a marriage challenge for Neath in Wales I have compiled my first Welsh tree.

I have just added a new tree after receiving information about a marriage in Barnstaple, Devon. The tree goes back to a William Gammon in Shirwell, Devon but I need to verify the Parish Registers for him. Then I should be able to add many more names from my database that I have received from other researchers.

I have now had a chance to collate a tree around the second Gammons marriage from the Romford Marriage Challenge. Although starting in Romford, the tree goes back to Bedfordshire via London.

I have just now published a small tree of Gammons collated after I received a faux marriage certificate from a GoONS Marriage Challenge. It was for a marriage in Romford, Essex, England. But according to the censuses, the groom's family originated in Kent, England.

Thanks to an email from a fellow Guild of One Name Studies member researching the HOWES surname, I have now added a small family from Huntingdonshire in England.
I need to collect Parish Register entires in Huntingdonshire to take this family further back.

I have now added an American tree! The website has been restructured a bit to make it a bit easier to incorporate other American trees later.

This tree starts with a Nicholas Gammon that married in Halifax, North Carolina. We would like to try and take the tree back further and try to find where the family originated in the UK. DNA testing may help us out here.

I have just published the tree of George Gammon who was married in 1881 in Dover, Kent, England. I started pulling this together when a researcher got in touch with me about Capt. Richard S. Gammon.
I need a copy of the marriage certificate for George to take this tree back further. I am also interested in trying to connect this Captain Richard (Dick) S. Gammon into the tree. Apparently he had an interesting World War II!
